Meet the Panelists:
Brad Carmony – Director of Employee & Corporate Communications, UNUM
In Brad’s 20+ year career, he’s managed a variety of public relations initiatives for a wide range of companies, both in-house and with agencies. Brad, and his partner, Nick, and dog, Dennis, moved to Chattanooga four years ago and fell in love with the area.

While employee benefits may not be sexy, it’s a topic that impacts each of us. Unum’s marketing efforts are narrowly focused on the HR decision-maker and very lead-gen driven, within the communications department we have the opportunity to explore a variety of thought leadership topics relevant not only to HR pros, but to consumers as well.

Vince Butler, Butler Consulting
With nearly 25 years of experience in the public relations industry, Vince has overseen award-winning campaigns and provided strategic communications for a wide array of local, regional and national clients. After working for The Moriah Group for nearly 10 years, he launched Butler Consulting in 2012 and since has worked with a variety of local clients, including The Johnson Group where he provided strategic communications and public relations services to the firm’s advertising clients.

Currently, Vince is working with the Charles H. Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center and its capital campaign to design and build a new facility in the Aquarium Plaza, which will officially open on February 22, 2020.

Candace Litchfield – Director of Public Relations & Advocacy, Chattanooga Convention & Visitors Bureau
Candace spent 25 years in the marketing and public relations field, the last 16 of them at the Chattanooga CVB. As the director of public relations & advocacy, she inspires people to visit Chattanooga and connects them with authentic experiences while increasing the community’s economic and social prosperity. She does this through the implementation of comprehensive public relations strategies for the leisure, meeting and conventions, and sports markets; traveling to pitch Chattanooga; hosting journalists on destination discovery tours; and sharing the economic and lifestyle benefits of tourism to the residents.

Through her efforts, Chattanooga has earned major accolades including Conde Nast Traveler’s “2019 Reader’s Choice Award – Top 10 Small Cities in the U.S.,” New York Times’ “52 Best Places to Go in the World,” and Outside Magazine’s “Best Town Ever.” Candace is passionate about Chattanooga and enjoys spending time exploring the city where there is always something new to discover.
