The love affair with football in America is real, and the Dallas Cowboys have long been at the heart of the fandom.
When it comes to athletics, the players on the field aren’t the only ones in action. Between brand-building, media relations, handling high-profile sponsors, stadium and event marketing and more — there are a lot of moving pieces for PR pros off the field.
In this presentation, Joe Trahan, Media Relations and Corporate Communications Coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys, shares the importance of agility in building a winning communications strategy for a highly visible company – from kick-off to touchdown and the fumbles in between.
Trahan is in his 15th season with the Dallas Cowboys as the Media Relations and Corporate Communications Coordinator, 16th overall in the NFL. Along with being a member of the football communications staff, he is also the press contact/media coordinator for all major events at AT&T Stadium and The Star in Frisco.
Trahan has gained experience throughout the National Football League, the National Basketball Association, the NCAA sports ranks and as internationally in the final season of NFL Europe with the 2007 World Bowl Champion Hamburg Sea Devils (Germany). Trahan owns two degrees from The University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s of Science (Sport Administration) and a Master’s of Arts (Public Relations).
