Join the Lookout PRSA Chapter for our monthly luncheon with an exciting presentation by Melanie Brown with the State of Michigan on Wednesday, June 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Unum!

The program will focus on the Three P’s: People, Politics and Public Relations. Buy your tickets today!

About Melanie Brown:

Melanie is a veteran of government at multiple levels and now serves as the state’s Executive Ombudsman. Her principal duty is to serve as a conduit for people to connect with state government. With a focus on growing jobs and building the economy, Brown is a point of contact for public and private sectors and community leaders trying to navigate an issue or problem that involves a state agency or administration.

“Connecting people to solve issues is my passion,” Brown says. “We are liaisons, connectors and solutioners.”

Brown has held positions in the previous two administrations and served in leadership positions in the state departments of talent and economic development, licensing and regulatory affairs, environmental quality and civil rights.

Parking and Entrance to Unum:

  • The easiest way to get to the visitor parking lot is to take Lookout Street, turn onto East 5th St. There is a visitor parking lot at the last driveway on your right, before the stop sign at Walnut Street.
  • Turn right into the lot. The guard shack is unmanned – you can park anywhere it says Visitor.
  • Be sure to remember your license plate, so we can let the front desk know so you won’t get a ticket (and so you can park for free!)
  • Please note: we are in a different room than our last program at Unum. Once you park, walk to the other connected Unum building (the West building, or 555 Walnut Building).
  • Go through the revolving door, and we will have name tags at the desk for pre-registrants.
  • Attendees will simply get a name tag and walk through the Atrium, past the cafeteria, and to the meeting room. We will have a few folks on hand to help show the way.

A buffet lunch will be served at the meeting. Please note in your ticket if you have any dietary restrictions or if you are a vegetarian.

You do not have to be a PRSA Lookout member to attend.
