About Mark Dvorak, APR:
About Thirty-seven minutes into his first public class in college Mark Dvorak was hooked. Three decades later, he still gets excited to put powerful communications to work to improve lives and transform communities. Mark’s current focus: making the introduction of peanut foods to infants as early as four to six months of age the standard of care to prevent peanut allergies. He currently splits his time between Golin, where he has worked for 18 years and formerly led the Atlanta office, and his own consultancy, Mark Dvorak & Co.
Earlier, Mark served as CMO at United Way of Greater Atlanta — the nation’s third largest and most innovative. There, he launched 2-1-1, the three-digit telephone service for people who need help or want to help others. He also was part of the team nationally that transitioned the movement from a fundraiser to a catalyst for community change. He continues to give love to the region he calls home as a 2018 graduate and former board trustee of Leadership Atlanta.
A career long member of the Public Relations Society of America, Mark chairs the Board of Ethics and Professional Standards (BEPS) and is inspired by the promise of a community of “ethical communications professionals.” He contributed to the creation of Voices4Everyone, served on the Advocacy Committee and Universal Accreditation Board and co-chaired ICON in 2015. He is a past president of his home Georgia Chapter, a member of its Order of the Phoenix and an honoree in the University of Georgia PR Hall of Fame.
Please note: You do not have to be a PRSA member to attend.
